Some of the major attractions in Innsbruck and its surroundings include: Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Kristallwelten), Tiroler museums, Hungersburg, Schloss Ambras, Wiltener Basilica, Bergisel, Hofburg, The Golden Roof, the Alpine Zoo and others.
The emblem of the city is the Golden Roof - a covered alcove balcony with 2,657 firegilded copper shingles. It was constructed under Emperor Maximilian I around 1500 by the court architect Niclas Türig, and is unique for its type in Europe.

The Stadion Tivoli Neu lies in the heart of the Tirol mountains, located to the southern part of Innsbruck between the Olympic ice stadium and the motorway.
Following a construction period of just 18 months, the then-reigning Austrian champions, FC Wacker Tirol and their fans, were able to move into the new stadium in mid-2000. The Tivoli-Neu is a multifunctional arena that can also be used for concerts and large events. Centrally-located, the stadium can be reached using public transport and is only a few kilometres from Innsbruck airport.
The current stadium, comprising 15,200 covered seats, will be extended for UEFA EURO 2008 and will offer top-quality facilities to 30,000 fans. An integral part of the project is a 10,000-square metre arcade, consisting of permanent facilities such as clubrooms, sports stores and fitness centres.
