Spurs are reportedly hoping to complete a £17m move for Blackburn's David Bentley this week with Paul Robinson heading the other way.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and Blackburn chief John Williams are said to be set to meet up to thrash out the terms of the deal that will see Bentley get his wish to leave Ewood Park.
Spurs have been leading the chase to sign the England international over the last month, with Bentley having made it clear he wants to leave Rovers, and he could now get his wish with Robinson moving in the opposite direction.
Robinson is considering a move from White Hart Lane after losing the number one goalkeeper's jersey last season and new Blackburn boss Paul Ince is on the look-out for a new keeper with several clubs, including Aston Villa, Manchester City and Arsenal, having been linked with a £2.5 million move for veteran American international Brad Friedel.
Rovers, though, insists Friedel will start the season as number one although that could change quickly if Robinson arrives at the club.
